Road description
Exhibitions
Our main exhibition is about the 20th century military history up to today with local, regional and international perspectives. The red tread in the exhibit is a timeline from 1900 up to today. In the exhibition there is a big model of the garrison and fortress of Boden among a lot of other things.
The regiments in the region are also presented in cooperation with their veteran societies. In these exhibitions we show their history as well of equipment.
We also have a very nice Swedish uniform and insignia collection.
In the museum park we have armoured vehicles, artillery pieces, trucks and anti-air and engineer equipment.
There is also an exhibition about skis and skiing, especially when used in competition. The region around Boden was very dominant in the twenties and thirties and brought up many very good skiers. The oldest ski we show here is from around the year 1200.
